THE KING IS IN THE FIELD ~ ELUL & TESHUVAH

THE KING IS IN THE FIELD! 👑 #ELUL & #TESHUVAH 🙏🙇‍♀️🙇‍♂️🔄🕎

🚩 I believe this is a time like never before! I sense that this next 40 days is more crucial than ever for the Body of Christ, as a nation, and even the nations of the world. I'm asking that as many as can, to join me in prayer and some form of fasting during this time.

Myself and many others believe there are a lot of things that will potentially happen during the Fall of this year, and we truly need to be in a time of praying and seeking the Lord as never before, to prepare ourselves spiritually for where we are, and what we will need to walk through. #TimesAndSeasons #PrayAndPrepare

“Seek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near.” ~ Isaiah 55:6

~ MONTH OF ELUL

Tonight, August 16th, at sundown we entered the month of Elul on the Hebrew Calendar.

The Hebrew month of Elul marks the beginning of a 40-day season of repentance and turning to God, which goes through the Feast of Trumpets until the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) on Sept 25th.

On the first of Elul, Moses ascended Mt. Sinai for 40 days to receive the second set of Ten Commandments and the assurance of God’s forgiveness for His people after the sin of the Golden Calf.

Elul is also a time of harvest, traditionally when the King went into the harvest fields outside the city. At such times, anyone could approach him, and he received all with a smiling face and a radiant countenance. This 40 day period is a time to seek the Lord now more than ever, to spend time with Him, in returning and repentance (Teshuvah), and in preparation for the "New Year" that is coming at the end of next month. Seek Him now, while He is near! #SeekTheLord #WhileHeIsNear #TheKingIsInTheField 🙏🌾👑

Yes, the Lord is always available to us, but there are times He draws nearer than others...let us seek the Lord now while He may be found. Let us seek to hear His Spirit clearer, and be led by His Spirit more than ever before! It will be very crucial to do so during this season.

TESHUVAH ~ 40 Days of Repentance & Returning 🙇‍♂️🙇‍♀️🙏🔄

Teshuvah also begins tonight at sundown. This is prophetically where we are as the body of Christ. We need to prepare our hearts, repent, and return to His Presence with fresh fire! 🔥

Teshuvah is a compound word consisting of the Hebrew “Tashan,” meaning “Return,” and “Hey,” the last letter of the “JHVH” name for God. The “HEY” in “JHVH” represents the Shekinah, or manifest presence of God. Thus, Teshuvah is a time to return to the presence of God. It is also understood that returning to God is accompanied by repentance.

Observant Jews have an understanding that this 40-day period leading up to the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), and especially the last ten days between the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement, represents opportunities to repent and avoid the judgment of God.

For Christians, these 40 days are an invitation to repent and enter into unity with God through the Blood of Christ. However, for the unbelievers Teshuvah is a solemn warning of the judgment to come.

This duality of Teshuvah, as an invitation and a warning, is illustrated in two of the scriptures which are associated with it. Psalm 27 speaks to the benefits of living in God’s presence and seeking His face. He will keep us in time of trouble and allow us to see His goodness while we live.

In Ezekiel 33, the Lord commands us to warn the unbelievers to repent and save themselves from the judgment to come. We are also told that we must warn the righteous of their folly so they can repent lest they suffer judgment. Thus, Teshuvah calls believers to repent and come into God’s presence and also calls on us to evangelize a lost and dying world. #Return #Repentance #Teshuvah #Reformation #ItIsTime #GodsJudgementsAreRighteous

Let's pray together:

“Father, we give thanks for this beautiful season when Your face is shining upon us and we may come to You! We seek Your face on behalf of our nation, that in Your great mercy, You will remember Your Covenant with America and forgive our sin. Let healing come to cities, and homes, and families, and to the land itself. Let prodigal sons and daughters feel Your presence and come to themselves and return home. Let this be a time of national turning from sin to seek You and call upon You while You are near. We Appeal to Heaven! In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”
