OUR REFUGE ~ THEIR JUDGEMENT

Writer's picture: Prophetic ReformerProphetic Reformer

The below is an amazing verse in the book of Nahum. It carries with it a promise that the Lord will take care of those who put their trust in Him. We will need to remember this in the days and weeks to come. 🛡🙏🏻🔥

Although He does take care of His own, we cannot only look at this verse and believe we see the entire picture of who He is. At the same time, the verses prior to this verse seven (see at the end of this post) paint a very different picture of how we see our God dealing with His enemies and those who have aligned themselves with evil against Him. He is a good and loving Father...but He is still a God that has anger and fierceness. He is a God of great mercy and loving-kindness, who is long-suffering, but He still can pronounce quick judgements against those who will not turn and change.

There needs to be great reverence and fear of the Lord when it comes to who our great God is! He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and has not changed. Are we under grace? Yes we are. But let us not change the attributes of who our God is, to fit our narrative of what we like about Him. No this is not just an "Old Testament" God, for we see much of the same displayed in the book of Revelation discussing how He will handle things in the future. Don't think He won't handle things much the same now when need be. The same God who struck down Ananias and Sapphira, will do the same if He feels the need to now.

We are coming into a time when we must understand the totality of who our God is, both as merciful Father to us, and righteous but swift Judge of those who have aligned themselves against Him. We will see many of these things displayed in a way we have not seen as much, in the days to come. There has been a long season of His mercy...but now we will see again His swift judgment against evil. I dare say it will shock even the church and many in it, when we understand what it means when it says "Our God will not be mocked!", which really means, our God will not be mocked for long without dealing with it.

Mocking spirits have arisen in this hour unlike what any of us have seen, and hear me when I say, there is coming swift judgements on many things in the weeks and months to come. Many who will not repent and turn, will drop dead in a moment.

As Herod was dealt with, and as Ananias and Sapphira also were in the book of Acts account (5 & 12), so will many be judged swiftly for their evil motives and lack of honor of the Lord. A fear of the Lord will again sweep through many in the world, and through His Church. It is crucial that we trust in Him during these times, as He will be our "stronghold in the day of trouble". Our God is still a Consuming Fire! 🔥

"The mountains quake before Him, the hills melt, and the earth heaves at His presence, yes, the world and all who dwell in it. Who can stand before His indignation? And who can endure the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, And the rocks are thrown down by Him. The Lord is good, a Stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him." ~ Nahum 1:5‭-‬7

Amanda Shiflett is the founder of Prophetic Reformer and Co-founder of Kingdom Life Ministries, along with her husband Darin. She is a Prophetic Minister who heard the Lord's call from a very young age. Amanda is a heralding voice of truth, holiness, and purity within the prophetic, and calls others to stand in a place of no compromise in their callings. She longs to see reformation come most especially to the current Prophetic movement, as well as the other parts of the 5-fold within the body of Christ.

Along with her calling as a Prophetess, Amanda also flows in a powerful worship and healing anointing, and is a gifted teacher and writer as well. Although she loves all aspects of the ministry that God has called her to, her personal passion is to see reformation come to the Body of Christ and the current prophetic movement. She also longs to see those in the Body of Christ reach their destinies - to see God's people break free from their strongholds and bondages, to walk in complete wholeness and freedom in Christ. She is honored and excited to serve the Lord in many capacities in the Kingdom, seeing lives transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit!

Over a 10 year period, Amanda received overall training in biblical studies, with extensive training in prophecy, spiritual warfare, Hebraic roots, healing, and supernatural ministry, at various ministry schools. In addition, she also traveled and served under several national and international ministries during that time. She is constantly engaging in more study and understanding in the revelations of the Lord, and is actively involved in continuing education.

Amanda and her husband, Darin, are both Apostolically aligned with and ordained through FMCI, under the apostolic leadership of Apostle Jim Hodges. They currently reside near Dallas, TX.
