‭‭ADAR 2 ~ DOUBLE JOY, DOUBLE PORTION!

‭‭ADAR 2 ~ DOUBLE JOY, DOUBLE PORTION!

Today starts the second month of Adar.

Adar is known as the month that ushers in joy, and when we have a double month we trust that our joy will be doubled!

Because this is a "leap year" on the Hebrew calendar, there are actually 2 months of Adar...that's right, not just an extra day, but an extra month! 🙌✨️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

I believe there are double portion blessings in this "extra" month...double your joy, and double your reward! During this month, we will celebrate Purim, and I believe just as the Lord did for Esther, what the enemy meant for evil, will be turned around for us...and His favor and blessing will surround us! The enemies plans will be found out, and he will be caught in his own snare! A time of double restitution and double blessings, for all that the enemy has stolen in this last season!

Adar 2 is known to the Jews as the "pregnant month", a time when things that have been barren, break forth with new life!

It is a season of "leaping" forth into the joy that He has for us...think of "leaping for joy"!

It is also interesting to note that we are entering this month on the Hebrew Calendar, the same day that we "spring ahead" on our gregorian calendar...leaping ahead, springing ahead...a time to jump into this season that He has for us in His Kingdom!

Remember, no matter what may come in this month, and moving forward from this time, He is reminding us that "the Joy of the Lord is our strength"! (Nehemiah 8:10) ✨️🕊💪

We are reminded through the story of Purim (Esther), that holiness and obedience to God must always be sought after without compromise and with “full obedience”. There is no middle ground. There is no compromise.

The Lord is calling us to walk closer to His heart in a place where we are fully obedient and surrendered to Him in this hour. He is calling us to enter into a place where we can seek Him “face-to-face.” I will share more on Purim in another post later this month.

In Adar 2 may we fully surrender to the plans and purposes of God “for such a time as this.”

In expectation,

Nehemiah 8:10

Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
