BETWEEN THE NARROW STRAITS

🔁 We are in the time known as "Between the Straits" (Bein haMetzarim) or the "#DireStraits" on the Hebrew calendar. 📅 🔁◀ ▶

History has shown a pattern of death and destruction that has befallen the Jewish people during the three-week period known as "Between the Narrow Straits" or "The Time of Distress", the period between Tammuz 17 and Av 9. This year, this time falls between this past Thursday, July 9th and Thursday, July 30th.

On the 17th of Tammuz, the walls of both the First and Second Temples were breached and both Temples were destroyed three weeks later on the 9th of Av. The Hebrew word for strait is "tzar", which literally means “narrow,” but also means “anguish” or “distress.” They commemorate this time with mourning and fasting. They also use it to look forward in hopes that the temple will be rebuilt again one day. Of course, we know it will, and Messiah will sit on His throne there.

Many in the body of Christ sense a lot spiritually and in the natural during this 3 week period as well, even if they don't always know why, as we have been grafted into Israel, and what affects them can affect us also. Be aware that you may be going through a tight place spiritually, feel intense things in the spirit, and in the natural...you may feel pressure and some distress, as you pass this narrow place, known as "between the straits".

Hold tight to Him, let His Spirit guide you through, and trust that He that does not slumber or sleep, will uphold you with the right hand of His righteousness. Focus your gaze on Him more intently as you navigate your vessel during this time, and you will see Him bring you through the floodwaters, safely on the other side! 🌊⛵

Here's a post from last year, where I shared more about this time...👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
