IT WAS THE BEST OF TIMES, IT WAS THE WORST OF TIMES, Part 1 ~ Word by Amanda Shiflett ❇️ Please note: I have labored long and hard over this word before releasing it, as I wanted to make sure it was the correct timing and wording for what the Lord was saying and showing me. It is quite long, as there was much to say on what I have seen, heard, and sensed, but all very necessary. I am breaking it into several sections or parts, so it will be easier to read. I do not want to bring any measure of fear or dread, but simply want God’s people to be prepared and understand exactly where we are. As a “Watchman Prophet”, it is a part of my call, and I will be held responsible if I do not. The Lord is giving us much warning in order for us to be adequately prepared for both the good and the bad, in the body of Christ as a whole, in our communities, and personally.❇️
Isaiah 60:1-3
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn." ⏳“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times; it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness; it was the season of belief, it was the season of unbelief; it was the season of Light, it was the season of darkness; it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair…” A Tale of 2 Cities, book by Charles Dickens, paraphrased⏳ ➡️This is the season we have entered into. It will be amazing and glorious on one hand, and extremely intense and terrible on the other. We will see these two paradigms increase drastically over the next few years. The Lord began speaking this phrase to me “It was the Best of Times, It was the Worst of Times” in 2012, and I have heard it several times since then...however it has come up multiple times since the beginning of this year, and I feel urgently that this is the season we have now stepped into. I believe we are currently in the calm before the storm. How long will that calm last? I don’t know, but I do not believe that it will be much longer. I do not feel that everything will happen overnight, but it will gradually build as we go, however I believe there will be a point where it will be very obvious that things are no longer as they were. I feel the intensity of the season we are in, and that we MUST prepare now! There is no time to waste on superficial, fleshly, insignificant things. Throughout all of the centuries, and we see in the Old and New Testament, God has continuously warned His people of what was coming. It is a part of His mercy and love…so His people can be prepared, and also to warn the world so they can repent and turn. We see examples of this when Joseph was warned there would be 7 years of plenty, then 7 years of famine. He, and those around Him, heeded the warning of the Lord, and because they did, they were all saved, including Joseph’s entire family. (Gen. 41) We see the children of Israel “prepared” on the night of Passover as the Lord told them to, and when the death angel was coming to destroy, they were saved because they applied the blood of the Lamb over their house. (Exodus 12) Then we see in Acts 11:28, that a Prophet gives a word of warning by the Spirit that a famine was coming to all the world. Because they heeded the warning, and were prepared, we see that they were able to survive, and even have enough to share with other believers. "Then one of them, named Agabus, stood up and showed by the Spirit that there was going to be a great famine throughout all the world, which also happened in the days of Claudius Caesar. Then the disciples, each according to his ability, determined to send relief to the brethren dwelling in Judea. This they also did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul." The Lord speaks and warns through His prophets, and if we will listen and heed the warning, we will be prepared. Amo 3:7 says, “Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plans (secrets) to His servants the prophets.”👁️👂 1Ch 12:32 tells us …”The sons of Issachar…had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do…” 💧☄️🌠🔥🌪️🌫️🌀🕛 If there ever was a time when we need to know what time and season we are in, it is NOW! This will be very important in the coming days. Everyone says they want to have or be a part of a prophetic tribe, but I want more than a Prophetic tribe. I want an Issachar Prophetic tribe! Those who will know and be prepared for the season that we are in, what is coming, and what we are to do about it. The Lord has been, and will continue to increase the releasing of this “Issachar Mantle” on many of His people, and most especially on His true prophets. "For if people do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?” ~ Luke 23:31
