"I heard the Lord say~ ‘I am preparing a table before you in the presence of your enemies - I am inviting you to come to My table and dine, come to my tent, to my tabernacle, and enter into My rest. I have prepared this table of My goodness, but it will only be as you tabernacle with me that I will bring you to My table...'"
At sundown on this past Sunday, we entered into the days of Sukkot, also known as the “Feast of Tabernacles”. This last of all the Jewish feasts, is one of the most important of all. It comes in the Autumn of every year, just after the High Holy days of the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement. These Holy days, also known as the “Days of Awe”, are a time of retrospect, repentance, and fasting. However, the Feast of Tabernacles is a time of thankfulness, rejoicing, and celebrating...almost as if it were the first Thanksgiving! It is a time of thanking the Lord and rejoicing in all He has done in the past season, as well as preparing ourselves, with much anticipation and joy, for the season He is taking us into! During this time, many Jews all over the world construct a “Sukkah” or small hut (tent or “tabernacle”), in which meals are eaten throughout the week of the festival. The Sukkah is meant to remember the tents that Israel lived in during their 40 year sojourn in the wilderness, after the exodus from Egypt. Later, after the Israelites entered the Promised Land, Sukkot was associated with the Fall harvest as well, and additionally came to be known as the “Festival of Ingathering”, or the Festival of the Harvest. It became a time to celebrate all the provision and “harvest” that the Lord had brought in during the ingathering of the crops. Because it is a time of much rejoicing before the Lord, it became known as “The Season of our Joy”. For several weeks, I have been praying about this new year of 5777, and asking the Lord if there was anything He wanted to speak about this time. He spoke to me about the month we are in, Tishrei, and even other things, but nothing really about this year. I would feel some impressions at times, but nothing firm, and so I simply laid it down until He decided to reveal what He wanted me to know. As the Lord had me studying about the Feast of Tabernacles over the last couple of days, I realized it is the 7th and last feast of the Lord. This really grabbed my attention, as the Lord has really been highlighting the number 7 to me lately, and not just because of the year 5777. Obviously, this Hebrew year is very significant, as many in the body of Christ have spoken about, but the Lord has begun to show me that there is even more going on than just the year we are in. In the reckoning of the Hebrew months, we are in the 7th month, we have just entered the 7th feast, which goes on for 7 days…all of this in the year 5777. There have been a few more sevens that I have recognized lately, but I won’t go into those. Seven is many times called “The God number”, as it represents Divine Perfection. It also speaks of completion, totality, and coming into maturity. I do believe these sevens that are happening now, represent that we are truly coming into a time of the completion of many things in our lives, as well as a time of completion of things in the Body of Christ. I also believe that we will step into things that we have not been able to before, and that many in the Body of Christ will begin to come into a maturity that they have not walked in up to this point. As I began to seek the Lord recently to sense what He was wanting to reveal, He began to speak to me about this time of Sukkot, this time of “Tabernacles”, as well as the season that we are coming into. As He started to speak, I also began to see a picture and then a vision. As I began to journal what I was seeing and hearing, I knew that it was for more than just me…it was for whoever would hear, and whoever would come! At first, as I thought of Tabernacles, I began to think of the “Tabernacle” or “Tent of Meeting” in the Old Testament scriptures. This was the place where the Lord would dwell, this was where He chose to “Tabernacle” with His people. It was in this inner-most tent, this most Holy Place, that His Glory, His Presence, the very Essence of who He is, would abide. This is where He chose to reveal Himself to His people! Then, as I continued to pray on these days of Sukkot, I began to see a tent or Tabernacle out in a wheat field, only the wheat had already been harvested. The tent was larger than most, but not overly large. It was white, with white curtains (veil) coming down in the front, and it had golden rods. The curtains moved somewhat in the breeze. As I walked up to the tent, I pulled back the veil to go in. I saw the Lord (Jesus) sitting there at a table. The table was set with food, with supplies, with weapons, with many different vessels. He had on a white garment, with a belt around His waist, and a golden crown on His head. I also saw what I believe was the enemy, on the very edge of the field, hiding close to wooded areas or behind rocks, so they would not be seen. I sensed that they wanted to come closer, especially to hear what was being said, but they dared not come closer to the tent (Tabernacle). I heard the Lord say~ "I am preparing a table before you in the presence of your enemies - I am inviting you to come to My table and dine, come to My tent, to My tabernacle, and enter into My rest. I have prepared this table of My goodness, but it will only be as you tabernacle with me that I will bring you to My table…this table, where all My provision is, where all My supply is, where all My goodness is! Here with Me, you will receive the rest, the supply, the provision and most importantly the strategies, that you will need for the season you are stepping into. After this time of “Tabernacling” with Me, when you step back onto the battlefield, you will be restored and rejuvenated, full of fresh supply, full of My joy and peace, and full of MY strategies for this new season. You will need all of these things more than ever before, for the season that is ahead will be unlike any you have ever known. In this season, you will need the provision, supply, wisdom and strategies of heaven to complete the tasks that I have ordained for you to walk in. You will not be able to rely on the wisdom of man, on the ways of the kingdoms of this world, nor on your own experience during this time. During the past season, I have been taking you through a time of learning to rely on Me, learning to trust in Me for everything you need. In this new season, you will need to walk in this understanding that I AM your source, that I AM your provision, and you will need to rely on the things that I will give you during your time of tabernacling with Me. As you are spending this time under My tent of meeting, communing with Me, Your enemies will be close around, close enough to see you, close enough for you to even sense their presence, but they cannot come near you, for they are not able to come to my banqueting table, nor are they able to come near where I dwell. My banqueting table is set for my Beloved only, for my Covenant Ones, and My delight is in them, My delight is in dwelling with them.” “Come in and dine with Me,” says the Lord, “for I will give rest to your weary soul. This last season has been hard in many ways, and your faith has been tested in many ways, but you are about to be rewarded for your faithfulness…if you DO NOT give up! Even as the children of Israel had to walk through many trials and testings of their faith, and live in tents in the wilderness for 40 years, but afterwards, those who remained in faith came into the Promised Land…I say you are now entering a season of stepping into your inheritance, stepping into that which I have promised you, and that which I have given you a vision for. Just as My people then had to come into My Tabernacle, into My Presence, to find out the strategies for the battles ahead, so you will need to do the same. Do not give up just before your moment to step into the land that I have promised! In this year of completion, this year of My Divine Perfection, I say that I am perfecting that which pertains to you. What has seemed a struggle in years past, what has seemed just out of reach, in this Kairos season, you will walk into it with ease, with My grace and strength. As you come into My Tabernacle in the days ahead, as you come into My Presence in the most Holy Place, I will give you all you need for the journey ahead, all you need to possess the land, and push back the boundaries of the enemy. There is much you will need for the days that are coming, as they are treacherous days, but do not be afraid, for I will fill you with My strength as you rest here with Me. I will fill you with My Spirit. Do not be afraid to go back out onto the battlefield, for My Spirit will go with you, and He will fill you with might in your inner man! Also, during this time that you spend with Me, I will speak to you of what is to come, and how you can traverse the mine fields and traps that the enemy has set for you. Do not be afraid of the plots and schemes of the enemies that surround you, for in this time with Me, I will divulge new strategies for you to overcome their plots…I will show you where the enemy has been hiding, so that you may go in and root out, tear down, and push back ground that they have taken. I will show you where they have been lying in wait for you, where and how they have had access into your life, so you can close those access points, and push back the lines of the enemy! All you need is found in My Presence, as you Tabernacle with Me, You will overcome and have victory…but this cannot be a one-time event only, nor even something you do for just this season. This will need to go beyond the next few weeks or months, but will need to become a part of your lifestyle, and it will need to happen more frequently than ever before. You will need to draw away with me, sometimes for hours, sometimes for days, on an ever-increasing basis, in the months and years to come. For those who will do this, those who will come into my Dwelling Place and commune with me, they will be able to overcome the enemy that is attempting to destroy them. I will reveal to them the enemies battle plan, and I will show them how to thwart many of his attacks on them, their families, their regions, and their nations. For those who choose not to come into this place with Me, for those who do not learn how to hear My voice in this intimate way, the world will become much more of a dangerous place. Now is not the time to be complacent, nor to be consumed with the things of this world, but it is a time to be consumed with following after Me! To those who will learn how to Tabernacle with Me in this way, the days ahead will be the most joyful you have ever known…for truly in My Presence is fullness of joy, and at My right hand, there are ever increasing pleasures! As you dine with me, I will pour on you My oil of JOY in a new measure, unlike you have ever experienced. Many will look at you and not understand how you can be so joyful, even as you are surrounded by the turmoil and chaos of this world. Many in the world will ask how you have such joy, and you will show them the way to My banqueting table. You will come into My Tabernacle, and I will show you great and mighty things that you do not know. You will go forth with My Peace, and be filled with My joy. As you sit in My Presence, My Glory will begin to radiate from you, and everything that it touches will be transformed. The world will be drawn to My Glory that will rest upon you, and Kings will come to the brightness of your shining. You will be known as Sons and Daughters of the King, and will walk in your rightful place as heirs of My Kingdom. This is the Place I have for you, this is the time that I have purposed, and this is My invitation to you. The table is set, and I ask you now to come!” As the Lord spoke this to me throughout the day, I pondered the seriousness of this invitation, and the words that He spoke. I believe this is an invitation to come in and dine with the King in a way that we have not done before. This is a time to be with Him in a way, that we begin to reflect who He is in a more complete way than ever before. As we spend this time dining with Him, listening to His plans, and hearing His voice more clearly, then I believe we will begin to step into our identity as Kings and Priests unto our God! This is the year of the “Ruling Sword”, and if we are to truly begin to walk as the Sons and Daughters of God, as Kings and Priests who know how to use the authority that the King has given us to see His Kingdom come…then we are going to have to come into His Presence, spend time hearing His heart, hearing His strategies, and receiving from the bounty of His supply!
