๐Ÿ‘‘ THE KING IS IN THE FIELD ๐Ÿ‘‘

โ€œSeek the Lord while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near.โ€ Isaiah 55:6 The Hebrew month of Elul marks the beginning of a 40-day season of Jewish repentance and turning to God which ends with the Day of Atonement on Yom Kippur. Many of you have read the things I have been sharing about this. On the first of Elul, Moses ascended Mt. Sinai for 40 days to receive the second set of Ten Commandments and the assurance of Godโ€™s forgiveness for His people after the sin of the Golden Calf. Elul is also a time of harvest, when the King went into the harvest fields outside the city. At such times, anyone could approach him, and he received all with a smiling face and a radiant countenance!๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ™Œ โ€œFather, we give thanks for this beautiful season when Your face is shining upon us and we may come to You! We seek Your face on behalf of our nation, that in Your great mercy, You will remember Your Covenant with America and forgive our sin. Let healing come to cities, and homes, and families, and to the land itself. Let prodigal sons and daughters feel Your presence and come to themselves and return home. Let this be a time of national turning from sin to seek You and call upon You while You are near. We Appeal to Heaven! In Jesusโ€™ Name. Amen.โ€ ~Appeal to Heaven
